A republication of a laudatory essay by Roger Marx, which first appeared in 1893, and which also featured in Marx's Maîtres d'hier et d'aujourd'hui published in 1914. The essay was originally written as a speech in honour of Huysmans receipt of the Legion d'Honneur. This edition of 215 copies is printed on l'Ingres d'Arches paper.
